Garments Costing of Basic Polo Shirt?

Description of Polo Shirt

100% cotton pique polo-shirt containing three buttons in the front placket having side band with flat-knit Tipping collar and cuff  and Small logo embroidery on left chest.

Polo Shirt

For calculating price of polo-shirt at first we have to calculate the fabric consumption from the size spec sheet given by buyer.

Suppose,

Fabric Consumption = 3.8 Kg / Dzn

Please note : Here with include Body fabric + Collar + cuff consumption

                     
   Here , 2.95 ( Body Fabric ) & 0.85 ( Collar + Cuff )

So, Yarn consumption will be

For Body Fabric = 2.95 + 8% (wastage)

                                                = 3.19 Kg/Dzn

For Collar + Cuff = 0.85 + 8% (wastage)

                                    =0.92 Kg/Dzn                       

So,Fabric Costing

So, costing for yarn per dozen ( Body Fabric )

                        = 3.19 * $ 3.30 / Dzn

                        = $ 10.53 / Dzn

Here , 30/S yarn will be used for 180GSM & 30/S Yarn price per Kg = $ 3.30/ Kg

So, costing for yarn per dozen ( Collar Cuff )

                        = 0.92 * $ 3.30

                        =$ 3.03 / Dzn

So, Yarn Price ( Body + Collar & Cuff ) = $10.53+$3.03 = $13.56/Dzn

So, Knitting Charge ( Body Fabric ),

            = 3.19 * $ 0.35/Dzn (From BGMEA Standard Pique 30/S knitting Charge 26 taka/Kg)

            =$ 1.12/ Dzn

Knitting Charge ( Collar + Cuff ),

            = 0.92 * $ 1.12 /Dzn

            =$ 1.04/ Dzn

Here , collar cuff when tipping knitting charge will be 7 Taka per set .

So, = 7*12 Taka = 84 taka = 84/75 = $1.12 /Dzn

So, Knitting Charge ( Body + Collar & Cuff ) = $1.12+$2.04 = $2.16/Dzn

So, Dyeing Charge ( Body Fabric )

            = 3.19 * $ 1.5 (Here $ 1.5 is per kg dyeing charge )

            = $4.79/Dzn

Dyeing Charge ( Collar + Cuff )

            =0.92 * $1.8 ( Here , collar cuff is tipping So, Yarn dyeing $1.8/Kg dyeing charge)

            = $ 1.66 / Dzn

So, Dyeing Charge ( Body + Collar & Cuff ) = $4.79 + $1.66 = $6.45/Dzn

So, Finish Fabric Costing Per DZN ,

            = (Yarn Price + Knitting Charge + Dyeing Charge)/Dzn

            = $ 13.56 + $ 2.16 + $ 6.45 / Dzn

            = $ 22.17 / Dzn

Now, production cost per dzn

Total Fabric Price                             = $22.17/Dzn

Trims + Accessories Cost                  = $3.00 / Dzn

Embroidery Cost                               = $1.5 /Dzn

Testing + Courier                              = 0.20 / Dzn

CM + Commercial + Profit              = $9.00 / Dzn

Total FOB per Dzn                           = $ 35.87 / Dzn

FOB Per Pieces               = $ 2.99 / Pcs
